Calor’s Top Smoking Ban Tips

1. Plan carefully

Carefully plan your outdoor smoking area. If you are starting from scratch and building a new area think about access, the layout and the structure. Consider whether you need heaters and which type would be most suitable for your premises.

2. Get advice

There are a number of different gas heaters on the market and they come with a range of different outputs, making them suitable for nearly every patio area. Talk to your Calor representative when planning your outdoor area so that you can choose the most suitable model for your particular needs (call 0845 603 9324). They will also be able to advise you on important matters such as overhead clearance for your heaters and safe installation of your new system.

3. Get a site survey

Take advantage of the free site survey being offered by Calor and benefit from the best advice on the market when it comes to outdoor heating. You can book a survey by calling 0845 603 9324.

4. Be effective

Heating an outdoor area is a difficult task. It is generally accepted that gas heaters are the best equipped for this because they generate more effective heat and the heat extends well beyond the area directly under the heater.

5. Do your homework

When thinking about what heaters to buy take the time to look around and visit some pubs that already have them in operation. This will give you a good impression of how they work and allow you to see if they will be suitable for your own premises.

6. Consider space available

Even if you are not planning a large smoking area there are gas heaters available that are ideal for smaller areas and outdoor solutions such as the Ferado Terrace and the Smokin' Joe.

7. Investigate storage options

With gas heating options, there are also different gas storage options including small and large cylinders and bulk tanks. Your Calor representative will be able to advise you on the best choice for your business.

8. Be mobile

Calor offers a fantastic range of mobile patio heaters – ideal if you want to be able to move your heater around. If you are using a mobile patio heater you should always use Calor Patio GasTM as it is most suited to outdoor use

If you would like an appointment with your local Calor specialist to find out more about Calor LPG outdoor heating and for a no-obligation site survey, please call us on 0845 603 9324 or request an appointment online.
